CALIFORNIA SPECIFIC LAND SURVEY EXAM REVIEW SERIES (2011-2012).
Registration for the CLSA SD Chapter CA-Specific Land Survey Exam Review Series (2011-2012) is now open. The review series is composed of 18 sessions and will cover topics that have historically been found to be pertinent to the LS Exam including STATISTICS, PHOTOGRAMMETRY, GPS AND GEODESY, STATE PLANE COORDINATES, CONSTRUCTION, SUBDIVISION MAP ACT AND PLS ACT, PUBLIC LAND SURVERY SYSTEM, BOUNDARY AND LEGAL DESCRIPTIONS. Also included in the sessions will be discussions regarding test taking strategies, exam preparedness, study habits and plans, and periodic topic review.
The total cost of the 18 sessions is $180 for confirmed 2011 members of any local chapter of CLSA and $230 for non-members ($30 of which can be applied to a 2012 San Diego Chapter membership. Payment may be made with credit card via the CLSA SD Chapter web site (preferred) or at the door (cash or check only).
If Credit Card payments are done, please provide a copy of the receipt on the first night. Class materials will be available for download via an ftp site; the address and login information will be provided after payment has been received.
Sessions will held every Thursday evening from 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm beginning Thursday November 17, 2011 and concluding on Thursday April 5, 2012 EXCEPT for Thanksgiving Day , November 24, 2011 and two days during the Holiday period: December 22, 2011 and December 29, 2011.
No partial registration is allowed.
The series will be held at the Caltrans D-11 office in Old Town San Diego located at 4050 Taylor Street, San Diego, CA 92110 (Lat 32°45’25” Lon -117°11’55). Parking at the facility is adequate and free. Registrants are encouraged and should commit to attending ALL sessions.
Registration will be via the CLSA web site only. Registrants should fully complete the on-line registration form. All communication associated with the program will be by email. It is the registrant's responsibility to provide a working email address to insure all communications are received in a timely manner.
Attendance records will be kept and a certificate of attendance will be provided via email at the conclusion of the series.
